What an amazing adventure we had! 27 of us embarked on an incredible overnight camping trip to Reinhardt Redwood Park from June 14th & 15th. It was truly a unique experience from start to finish.

The fun began with everyone pitching their own tents – quite a feat for some! We had a blast hiking through the majestic redwoods, enjoying the fresh air and stunning scenery. As evening settled in, we gathered for cooking, eating delicious food, and then a lively game of Mafia. It was hilarious watching John get voted out at the beginning before he could even play!

The night continued with laughter and conversation, stretching until 1 or 2 AM. Despite the coyotes roaming the area around the tents (which became surprisingly routine by dawn!), the experience was truly beautiful. We made s'mores, enjoyed campfire treats, and soaked in every moment of true wilderness camping.

The next morning, we set out on another refreshing hike, which was a fantastic opportunity for networking and deeper connections. Getting to know each other amidst nature was truly special.

From the quick one-hour drive from San Jose to our cozy camping spot and back, it was a weekend full of building relationships and strengthening our community. Even with a few minor hiccups, the constant laughter and shared joy made it a memorable time for all. Kontagious camping always delivers an unforgettable experience – we even played Frisbee in the middle of the forest! It was an experience of a lifetime and a great introduction to the American way of loving the wild.
