If you’ve been accepted to San Jose State University (SJSU) or Santa Clara University (SCU), we’re here to make your arrival in San Jose stress-free.
We know how overwhelming it can be to land in a new country — most of us at Kontagious were once international students too. That’s why our team of volunteers has created this free airport pickup service, designed to help you land on your feet and connect with community from day one.
New home, new journey. Miles traveled, a new life begins in the US.
Here’s How It Works – Step by Step:
1. Submit Your Arrival Info
Fill out the form linked on this page. It’s quick, easy, and essential for us to coordinate your pickup. Accuracy matters — please be honest.
2. Confirmation Email
You’ll get a confirmation once we receive your info. No need to fill it out again.
3. Join a Required Zoom Call
This short meeting helps us:

Confirm your identity (for safety — we’re not a taxi service).

Share critical arrival tips (immigration, baggage claim, meeting points).
4. WhatsApp Group Assignment
We’ll place you in a WhatsApp group with others arriving around the same time. A Kontagious leader will guide and support you after you land.
5. Meet Your Kontagious Welcomer at the Airport
You’ll receive clear instructions when you arrive, and we’ll track your flight — even if it’s delayed. We’ll connect via airport Wi-Fi to make sure everything goes smoothly.
6. Transport to Your Accommodation
Our volunteer will take you to your new home. Double-check that the address you gave us is correct — and if it changes, tell us ASAP. Be kind and courteous — our volunteers are giving their time to serve you.

Who’s Eligible for Airport Pickup?
This service is for new, incoming students enrolled at SJSU or SCU, flying into SFO or SJC for the first time to begin studies.

Students already in the U.S. who are relocating or returning
This program is designed only for those newly arriving to begin their academic journey.

Providing fake or misleading details — especially about your university status — is serious. If we discover inaccuracies, especially intentional ones, you will be held responsible for any costs involved.
